Marcel Speet (Nederland, 1951) is een hedendaagse kunstenaar die in een breed scala van media werkt, waaronder werken op papier, fotografie, mixed media assemblages en installaties. De werken worden beïnvloed door een verscheidenheid van bronnen, beeld ervaringen, hedendaagse ontwikkelingen, natuur, architectuur, mode en eigen geschiedenis. Materialen zoals hout en textiel worden hergebruikt. Absolute onafhankelijke persoonlijke vrijheid als kunstenaar is het grootste goed in zijn leven en werk. Wanneer chaos en verstoring in het werk voelbaar worden, zijn er nieuwe dimensies in de buurt. Onderzoek door ontregeling, spelen en verwarren om tot nieuwe oplossingen te komen.

The works are influenced by a variety of sources, image and material experiences, developments in art history, nature, architecture, fashion, and own history. Materials like wood and textiles are re used. Research centers around giving form to processes of conscious sense of self and identity. The layers are meant to leave room for the viewer not knowing anymore where to look at in the work and let it go, while being present and active. Marcel Speet (Pays-Bas, 1951) artiste multidisciplinaire crée des dessins d’art abstraits, réarrangements et installations. Les œuvres sont influencés par une variété de sources, l’expérience de l’image, l’évolution contemporaine, la nature, l’architecture, la mode et la histoire personnelle. Des matériaux comme le bois et les textiles sont réutilisés. La liberté personnelle absolue et indépendante en tant qu'artiste est le plus grand atout de sa vie et de son œuvre. Lorsque le chaos et les perturbations dans le travail se fait sentir, il y a de nouvelles dimensions à proximité.
